Greetings to One and All,

I hope that you have all been having a great holiday season. It has been a while--were you all beginning to suspect that I had gone away?  Well, I am most definitely still here, gearing up for another fun-filled year here at Ye Olde Bicycle Collective.  I know it seems hard to believe right now, what with the massive amounts of snow we are getting, but Spring will be here before you know it!

Which brings me to my next topic:  starting back on January 6th, we will be having kids' earn-a-bike classes gearing (nice pun, huh?) back up.  These little darlings will be at the shop every Monday-Thursday, and we could really use some help with them while they are there.  The times to cover are 3:45-5:30 pm, but you don't have to do every day (although if you do, you will most certainly NOT be turned away, and you will have my undying gratitude!).

SOOOO..time to step up all of you who are getting really bored this winter, those of you who miss us so much down at the shop, you folks who have been experiencing grease withdrawals.  Remember--if you have been laid off that volunteer hours can go on your resume to show that you have not been idle!

You don't have to have a lot of experience--we can teach you that.  You DO, however, have to have a basic non-hatred of kids.  If this sounds like you, please contact me, so that I can shower you with praise (remember the part earlier about undying gratitude?  It still applies).  You can email me, call me, or even send me a message by carrier pigeon.  What is important is that you get in touch with me SOMEHOW.

Thanks again for all that you have done to help in the past, and all that I know you will do to help in the future.  I remain, as always, your humble volunteer coordinator.

Sincerely,

Krista Bowers
Volunteer Coordinator
