Valet Bike Parking

Valet Bicycle Parking may sound like a strange idea, but it is actually really handy.  Downtown Salt Lake City has tons of events, and parking a car is always a nightmare. Of course this means smart people ride their bikes and take TRAX instead.

This does bring up a problem, with that many people around, how do you keep your bike safe?  The answer is simple, you leave it with someone who will watch it -- and that is where we come in.

The Bicycle Collective provides a safe way to ride to your favorite downtown events.  If you or the event you are planning could use Valet Bicycle Parking feel free to contact us.

The 2011 Live Green Festival on May 7th, 2011 was the inaugural event for our new portable valet bike parking racks.  In partnership with the Becka Roolf (City of Salt Lake), we used design plans from Leslie Smith (AIDS/Lifecycle Ride in San Fransisco) and the carpentry skills of Kevin Dwyer (SLC Bike Collective Board of Directors) to build these lightweight portable bicycle racks.  Each a-frame weights ~6.5 lbs.

Here are pictures from the 2011 Live Green Festival.
